TO DRIVE FORWARD
Propeller Advisory is the force behind small businesses making a big impact.
What we stand for
At Propeller, we speak human (we’re not your typical accounting-types). We start with your vision, not numbers. We plan for your ambitions, not your BAS deadline. We empower you to shape your own future, instead of encouraging you to stick to how it’s always been done.
As female accountants and business owners ourselves, we want to empower and encourage women entrepreneurs to take business ideas and make them a reality. We want to be there for them every step, ensuring they get the best advice to make their dreams a reality.
A business community
When you join Propeller, you become part of an enterprising business community that is ambitious about innovation and growth. Think of us as your best friends, mentors and coaches (and veeeery occasionally a nagging parent). We hold you accountable, pick you up if things get rough, help you map out your next adventure, and – it goes without saying – celebrate your big wins!
Every community member is there, willing to share their business journey so that everyone can learn from everybody else’s experiences. Keeping us from making the same mistakes, propelling us faster towards our goals, and helping each other achieve success sooner.
And if you are unsure of any big business decisions, our team of experienced female accounts are ready to help and give business advisory so you don’t feel alone and helpless.
If you’re a small or medium business serving people through education, healthcare, fashion, fitness, design, creative industries or professional services – you’re in good company with Propeller!
Our story
Increasingly frustrated by the accounting world’s approach to doing things ‘the way they’ve always been done’, Katie Bryan decided to forge her own path.
She wanted to work with entrepreneurs and innovators, and she knew the best way to do it was to become one of them.
Propeller Advisory started small and via word-of-mouth. Katie tested new tech tools, started having different kinds of conversations with business owners, and worked damn hard to create a business that flourished.
Propeller is going strong today because it’s committed to doing things differently for the benefit of its community. Collaborating, challenging, questioning, championing: these are the ways of being that drive us to deliver awesome results for out clients!
In mid-2020, Propeller celebrated its fourth birthday and launched a sassy sister-service: Propel Her. No one knows better than Katie the negative attitudes women can face from the accounting world – as a person, a professional or a business owner. Propel Her is dedicated to demystifying finance for women, and helping them realise their potential.
