Zest Learning

Before resilience was an everyday buzzword, before employee wellbeing programs were standard in the workplace, and before it was okay to say you weren’t doing so well mentally in front of your colleagues, there was Zest Learning.

Injecting new energy into the workplace

Zest is on a mission to rid corporates of formulaic leadership programs and help them drive real change in their people. The business was launched a decade ago in Melbourne by Robert Hart. He left a senior role in organisational change management with a vision to inject more physical, emotional and mental energy into the workplace.

Today, Zest’s range of programs are a potent combination of wellbeing principles, innovation strategy and leadership development.

Leading in mindfulness

Business has remained strong for Zest Learning despite plenty of new start-ups appearing in the mindfulness and wellbeing space. With a background in psychology and behavioural sciences, Rob’s combination of hard science and data is underpinned by a genuine empathy for the people he works with. His business fosters community and camaraderie, but he’s not afraid to tackle the social constraints and gender expectations that may hold business leaders back.

From vocal-resonance workshops with builders who have come off the tools and into white-collar roles, to leadership, wellbeing and resilience sessions with women working in the sphere of domestic violence, Zest’s skilled facilitators enable people to express all facets of their humanity, and in turn draw out the best in others.

Innovation partners

As Zest Learning has grown, so too have Rob’s expectations of the business support he needs from his accountant. He switched to Propeller a few years ago and found a community more aligned to his vision for innovation and growth. The Propeller team has shifted Zest Learning’s finances online and is always coming up with simpler systems to make the business side of business easier.
