The Customer Agency began as the seed of an idea to help businesses tackle their growth challenges using customer-centric thinking. Despite discussing multiple ideas about how they could combine their extensive professional expertise, Sarah and Jason hit pause. They reached out to their network and potential clients – and asked what they thought. working with companies who think “sales” is a dirty word, helping them and their teams to sell more comfortably around their values and the problems they solve.

 

Today, the suite of services offered by The Customer Agency – from their Growth System framework to bespoke client engagement programs – has been built around real customer need and genuine business results. Sarah and Jason love tackling a company’s perception that “sales” is a dirty word, and help teams reframe selling around their values and the problems they solve.

 

With a thriving business that includes long-term clients and a full schedule of shorter engagements, The Customer Agency now faces the challenge of all founders: running their core offering while scaling for growth. Sarah and Jason see Katie and the Propeller Advisory team as part of their solution. Katie helps them hone what they are already good at and offers support to grow and scale. Having initially started out doing their own accounting, Sarah and Jason brought in Katie to keep on top of their tax and inject more money back into the business. This freed them up to focus on high value work.

 

The Customer Agency’s ultimate goal is to help businesses grow sustainably. Rather unusually, this means that Sarah and Jason take on each engagement hoping to put themselves out of a job! By transforming team culture and thinking, they empower businesses to pull customers in rather than pushing unwanted services out onto them.
